The questions were revised and ambiguous questions were either removed or restated more clearly. Second, the schedules were in simple Urdu and the responses were recorded on the Urdu schedules. The investigator uses the language and interviewed roughly one-fourth of the respondents. Third, questions in the schedule were all related to the phenomena under investigation and no question was such that a farmer would feel threatened or insecure in giving an answer.
